Linden- Survivors of Otto Franklin Jones include three brothers, Ed S. Jones of Fort Wayne, Philip Jones of Crawfordsville and Robert Jones of Frankfort. Their names were omitted from a previous account of Mr. Jones death. Mr. Jones, who was 81, died April 28 at the Linden Nursing Home. Burial was at the New Richmond Cemetery. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs Ruth V. Royer, who died Sept 26, 1953. ????

“New Richmond News” Mr. and Mrs. Merwin Jones and children of St. Louis and Jack Jones of Columbia, MO were called here by the illness and death of Otto Jones.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jones of Ft. Wayne were here to attend funeral services for Otto Jones.

New Richmond – Otto F. Jones, 81, of New Richmond, died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday in the nursing home at Linden where he had been a patient 5 days. He had been ill three years. Born in Davie County. NC he married Martha V. Davidson in 1904 and was a member of the Methodist Church.  He was a farmer and carpenter and had lived in the new Richmond community 62 years. Surviving with the widow are two sons, Merwyn of Collinsville, Ill and Robert of Los Angeles.

“Funeral Notices” – JONES, Otto F.  – Friends may call at the home in New Richmond after 6 p.m. Monday. The body will lie in state one hour before services in New Richmond Methodist Church at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Donald C. Wade officiating; burial in New Richmond cemetery. Surviving are 7 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Brown Funeral Directors, Linden.
